Role Description
This is an on-site volunteer role for a Doctor supporting a women's health initiative, located in Chennai. The Doctor will work to deliver quality healthcare to women, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment plans tailored to their needs. Responsibilities include conducting regular consultations, educating women on health and wellness, and addressing medical concerns with empathy and professionalism. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team may also be required to ensure the initiative’s goals are met.
Qualifications
- Medical expertise in women's health, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and consult with patients
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a community-focused setting
- Commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care
- Relevant medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and active licensure to practice
- Experience in community health or public health initiatives is a plus
